It’s been 5 years since alt-rock heavyweights Anberlin called it a day but could we be seeing a reunion on the horizon? A recent tweet from the bands frontman has given fans a reason to hope so.
“Get to 10k and I’ll Make Some Calls” – Stephen Christian of Anberlin
A fan’s Tweet pleading to “bring Anberlin back” has caught the attention of Stephen Christian. The bands frontman responded with “Get to 10k and I’ll Make Some Calls”. This response has sparked a petition to call on the return of the Florida veterans.
Anberlin first shot into the spotlight with their 2003 album “Blueprints For The Black Market” which included the single everyone would grow to love “Readyfuels”. The band continued to establish themselves internationally with their acclaimed 2005 follow up record “Never Take Friendships Personal” and 2007 album “Cities”.
The possibility of a reunion after such a long hiatus has left us with so many questions as to what this could mean. Would this be a new album? A headline tour or simply just a one off reunion show?
There is only one way we are going to find out! Let’s get the petition to 10k signatures and see what happens. Fans can sign the petition and have their say at https://www.change.org/p/bring-back-anberlin
