Anthony Green (Saosin, Circa Survive, Sounds Of Animals Fighting … have I missed anyone else?!) has announced a special anniversary tour to celebrate 10 years of “Avalon”. Wow, I can’t believe it’s already been ten years since Anthony Green released his debut.
Anthony Green released his first solo in 2008 after releasing three albums with Circa Survive which were “The Inuit Sessions”, “Juturna” and “On Letting Go”. Since then has continued writing with Circa Surive, reformed Saosin, and released a few more solo records. His latest solo record was “Pixie Queen” in 2016.
While his previous releases ventured more towards the progressive side, Anthony’s solo material ventured into pop and folk. A personal favourite would be ‘Dear Child’, which is just a solid track with hook-after-hook throughout the whole track.
Good Old War and Found Wild will be supporting, and the tour will kick of in Washington and wrap up in New Jersey with VIP tickets on sale now. General tickets go on sale Friday, April 20th. For anyone interested, there are 2 bundles available: the VIP Upgrade for $45 which includes a 3 song acoustic set, a digital copy of the set, photo, tour poster, Q&A and pin. Alternatively the VIP Ticket Bundle, which is the same goodies but with admission to the show itself.
See his dates here!
On a side note, at the beginning of this year Anthony and Saosin teamed up for a few shows in California. To those lucky few who where there they got to hear (for the first time) Voices performed by Anthony himself! All I can say is DAMN it was worth the wait. Let’s hope that means a few more will resurface.
Also, rumours have resurfaced on one of his projects Sounds of Animals Fighting. Anthony has discussed his interest in doing some work with the group again so let’s hope that comes true.
