In the world of wrestling this week was the catharsis of a year-long journey. With Wrestlemania and Raw packing the Mercedes-Benz Superdome New Orleans was packed to the brim with spectacular talent; but it’s the New Orleans natives who stole the show at NXT TakeOver.
The day before the biggest event in wrestling the “Rock n Roll brand” held one of its largest TakeOver events to date. And what would a takeover be without a theme song provided by Cane hill ‘It follows’ off of their latest album “Too far gone” was the perfect fit. And this was proven even more true when they played it live bringing the stadium alive.
You can check it out for yourself below:
But this is not the only performance Cane Hill delivered that night. Later that night the boys in Cane Hill, accompanied by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, introduced NXT women’s champion Ember Moon to the ring with a boisterous rendition of her theme song.

While Cane Hill delivered a stellar performance they are not the only band that has worked with NXT. Code Orange and Incendiary delivered a monstrous performance for Alister Black. And Crown the Empire provided the theme song for TakeOver Orlando. With these many bands and performances NXT is truly earning the title of “the rock n roll brand”.

With all of these great acts who will we see next? Who would you want to see? And will this edge crossover to WWE main weekly shows? Only WWE knows now, but I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
