A New Motionless In White Record
According to an article in Alternative Press, Chris ‘Motionless’ of Motionless In White revealed in an interview with AntiHero Magazine that the band is in the middle of writing a new album. This is their follow-up record to ”Graveyard Shift”, which dropped in May of 2017.
After the release of “Graveyard Shift”, the band began their journey on their first headlining tour. That tour took them all over the U.S, Australia, Canada, and parts of Europe.
Soon after their inaugural tour, they were asked to come on the final full run of The Vans Warped Tour. Once completing the tour they delved more into their writing. Chris said in the interview that they’ll have more “risk takers” on this record than even the last. Which, for most Motionless fans is exciting, because we know Graveyard Shift contained many new techniques the band was testing. Needless to say, we’re beyond excited to see what treats are in store. The name for the new record has not yet been released, but we’ll learn more in the coming months.
In addition to this news, on September 22nd, SXM Octane Radio announced that Motionless In White’s song ‘Voices’ was #1 on the stations Biguns Countdown. This is the first time that Motionless In White has hit number one on this countdown. Chris thanked the fans and Octane in a Tweet for their support over the previous years.
A Music Style Of Their Very Own
2017 and 2018 have been two of the most monumental years in the band’s career thus far. The ten year industry veterans continue to expand and surprise us every step of the way. You never know what they’ll do next, and we love them for that! Motionless In White offers an innovative and exciting perspective on music that keeps everyone involved on their toes. Lets call it: new age industrial metal meets a spiced-up version of classic rock. It really is a sound of it’s very own. Motionless has left a musical footprint that no other band could ever completely replicate.
Their stage presence greatly influences their music, or maybe it’s the other way around. Regardless, these guys bring a new level to the music world from their unique writing styles, and live performance abilities. Although, most importantly they bring a friendliness to the table, with inviting personalities towards those they work with, and fans they meet along the way.
Upcoming Concert Dates
Chris wrote on his Instagram that “These will likely be our final shows of the year before we start recording the new album”.
So, before the band hits the studio later this year, they will be joining Detroit hip-hop tandem Twiztid at “Fright Fest” in October.
