I Set My Friends On Fire Announce 10 Year Tour

By

It was during the period of the days of MySpace. The innocence of social media taking off and millions of kids learning basic HMTL to make their profiles look sick. This was also a time when bands could be heard virtually for the first time by millions of people on one website, even allowing people to have a song set to their profile. With this, came the now term known as ‘myspace bands’. Though all had a similar style, some of these are no longer bands today but yet are remembered by many people. Skyscrapers Walk Among Us is a notable one. Some however, got the record deals, Warped Tour runs, and headlining tour slots and one of those is called I Set My Friends On Fire.

I Set My Friends On Fire, also known as ISMFOF, got quick traction as a two piece releasing their brand of synth-post hardcore with the most noticeable song, their cover of Soulja Boy’s ‘Crank Dat’. The cover garnered them quite a massive following and their rise on the website allowed I Set My Friends On Fire to ink a deal with Epitaph Records in which their debut ‘You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter’ was released in 2008. That brings us to now.

I Set My Friends On Fire have announce a ten year tour for the influential record that people still enjoy today. It feels of hard nostalgia, memories of those old school Hot Topic shirts, and the simpler times of discovering new bands without them being forced into your feed. Another milestone happening for this is Awaken I Am’s first time coming to the USA supporting this tour. The band dropped their Victory Records’ debut ‘Blind Love’ just a few months ago.
