State Champs announce new album “Living Proof” with new single “Dead And Gone”

State Champs started teasing something new yesterday. The image below popped up on their Instagram, Twitter and Facebook page at 2pm AEST.

Fans immediately began sharing their excitement on the band’s social media pages, with comments on Facebook such as “I’ve been anxiously waiting since the Don Broco show in London last year when you said you’d finished recording. So excited for new State Champs” and “What’s going on here if there’s a new album coming out then I’ll pre-order it right now”.

Then, not even 24 hours later, fans’ excitement was greeted with the announcement of the band’s new album Living Proof, which will be released on June 15th through Pure Noise Records. Accompanying this announcement came the release of the band’s latest single ‘Dead And Gone’.

You can stream the new song on Spotify now HERE (however the link is not currently working for Australian listeners). Until then, us Ozzies will just have to relive the time we spent with the band on their most recent Australian tour, which was documented in their clip for the single ‘Slow Burn’. You can watch that film clip below. For those readers overseas, please comment below and let us know your thoughts on the new song.

This marks the first new music from the band since the release of their deluxe edition “Around The World And Back” album in 2017, which featured the single “Slow Burn”. Prior to that, the last full-length album from the band was released in 2015. Being an avid listener of State Champs since their earlier “Apparently, I’m Nothing” album days, I’m super eager to hear new music from the band. The last few years have seen a slight change in the band’s sound, yet with each new step in the band’s evolution they continue to cement themselves as one of the biggest pop-punk powerhouses in the scene. Their most recent material showcased this perfectly, and I’m sure this new album “Living Proof” will be no exception.

State Champs will be touring Europe and performing at Slam Dunk Festival in the UK next month with Knuckle Puck and Stand Atlantic. You can view show info and purchase tickets for these shows from the band’s website HERE.
