On Monday morning, Northern Territory’s very own Tapestry were announced as the latest addition to the upcoming Polaris “The Mortal Coil” tour, hitting Australia’s capital cities throughout April this year. Massive thanks once again is due to the team at Destroy All Lines, Resist Records, and Triple J for bringing through such a stellar line up.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the band yet, Tapestry are a melodic hardcore band hailing from Darwin, NT. Not being a band to take things slow, the start of 2018 has already seen Tapestry support In Hearts Wake and Young Lions on their “Great Southern Land” tour as it came through Darwin last week, as well as being announced as the local support for Dream, On Dreamer’s upcoming Darwin show in April. January also saw the Tapestry boys announce they were joining Backbone Bookings, with Gabriel Caques joining the team as manager and booking agent.
December last year saw the band drop their latest single “Dark Shade”, available worldwide through iTunes and Spotify. The new track was accompanied with a video, shot by Crystal Arrow Films, which you can check out below:
Also joining Polaris on their “Mortal Coil” Australian tour, all the way from the US, will be The Plot In You, as well as Adelaide’s Ambleside. With the release of their latest album “Dispose”, Australian fans are keener than ever to see The Plot In You return down under. Despite the sound of the new record being different to their previous material, it really is an excellent listen. “Dispose” was posted today by the band as The Faction’s album of the week.
With things quiet in the Ambleside camp since the end of last year when they played the Invasion Fest after party, it will be interesting to see what’s in store for the band this year. I for one, cannot wait for their return to Brisbane. Check out their live studio session of “Dear Mother” HERE.
There are only a few shows remaining on Polaris’ “The Mortal Coil” tour which are yet to sell out, so you better get in and grab tickets asap. Polaris only last month wrapped up a sold out national tour supporting Byron Bay’s very own Parkway Drive, including an unforgettable performance to crowds at UNIFY Gathering in Gippsland, Victoria. Polaris premiered their Live Music Video for “Consume” on February 8th via Alternative Press. Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments section:
