The Cranberries to Split After Final Album

The Cranberries Final Album

Grab the Kleenex! The Cranberries announced in an interview with The Guardian that after the release of their new album they’ll be breaking up.  “In The End” is set to come out sometime in 2019. The band’s lead guitarist, Noel Hogan, solemnly expressed in the touching interview, “there’s no need to continue”. The songs were being recorded at the time of Dolores O’Riordan’s heartbreaking passing in January.

This album is very close to the band’s heart as the songs on it are the last pieces of talent which Dolores could share with the world.
This is a final goodbye for the group from Limerick as they grieve the loss of their lead singer. The album title is fitting. The band has been recording the remainder of the songs for this final album and will use the rest of this year to apply the finishing touches in studio.

They have worked together as a band for almost three decades, and you can see they’re as close as family. They haven’t mentioned anything about merchandise for the upcoming album. Additionally, there is  no official release date for the album and that has made things interesting.

A Tribute to Dolores

The band Bad Wolves put out a cover of The Cranberries song ‘Zombie’ as a tribute to the late singer. View the touching tribute below. Initially, the heavy metal supergroup was expecting to record with the Irish vocalist before her passing. As memorial they finished the song and donated the proceeds to her children and family.

In then end O’Riordan and the rest of The Cranberries have shared their talents through  the world.  Dolores and company have made an impact which will last for generations. Most importantly, this is a grand farewell to a perfectly iconic and influential music ensemble. One that has changed the music industry forever.

The Cranberries 25th anniversary Album

In addition to “In The End”, The Cranberries are bringing out their 25th anniversary edition of the album “Everybody Else is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?” This anniversary edition box set can be pre-ordered for the release on October 19th, 2018.
