On April 19, 2018 Touché Amoré released their new single, ‘Green’.
The song released via the band’s label, Epitaph Records. Green was recorded by Zach Tuch at The Hallway Studios in Los Angeles, California, mixed By Ken Andrews, and mastered by Howie Weinberg. According to the band’s official Twitter page, the song was written in the time between their 10th anniversary show on February 16, and the start of their North American tour on April 9 with Turnstile, Culture Abuse, and Razorbumps.
The song starts out with a mix of fast-paced drum and bass beats with guitar interludes that become stronger as the chorus approaches. It hits with strong rough vocals and driving instrumentals, falling back into the verse with the drum and bass. As the guitar builds, the song launches back into the explosive chorus and repeats “It’s simple really, how sad it is”, keeping up the drive until the song fades out as the last words are cried out. The video backing the song includes various short, faded clips including of small child feeding deer, bears in nature, and mountain landscapes.
